The beach wedding photo has become something of an industry on Kamala beach where every evening around sunset now many groups of what seem to be Chinese wedding couples and photographers gather to snap away. There’s a definite Monty Python feel to the whole thing as they all go through a fixed repertoire of poses.

This is Thailand! A parasail at Karon beach, Phuket. The punters are well harnessed, but the cowboy guiding the parasail in light winds? They were over fifty feet above the water when I snapped this.

Jellyfish like this one are regular visitors to Kamala beach at this time of year. And at about 20 inches in diameter, notĀ fun to accidentally tread on or, worse, swim into. Gail wears full body swimwear since they seem to seek her out, Ā and still gets the odd sting on the wrists or ankles š Having said that, they do have a rather majestic beauty.

Welcome to the revamped dgcPhoto site, complete with a new theme and a new look.
Iāve been rather busy with other things for a while, so I thought a makeover was more than overdue. I hope you like it.
In many ways, the site is the same as before except that with the new theme itās easier to navigate and more efficient to load.Ā And the layout is far cleaner.
Iām currently using two cameras: the truly excellent Canon 90D I bought several months ago that is streets ahead of any other camera I’ve owned over the years, and a Canon 100D that Iāve had for a couple of years ā a really lightweight little workhorse. I am also using my iPhone SE far more than I expected. The latest OS makes it an incredibly versatile camera.
Keep checking out the galleries; the old ones have been reinstalled and new ones are being added.
